Organizational Support Assessment
~2 min · 8 questions · Free partial report
Eight statements about whether your organization values your contributions and cares about your well-being. The result is a single score: high means you believe the organization is on your side; low means you feel replaceable. Why trust this instrument.
NOESIS adaptation inspired by Eisenberger et al.'s (1986) Survey of Perceived Organizational Support (SPOS). Eight independently developed items on a 7-point agreement scale, two reverse-scored. The original SPOS (36 items, shortened to 8) shows alpha .90-.93 and is one of the strongest predictors of employee engagement, organizational citizenship, and retention. Scored as mean (range 1-7).

The theory behind this test.
Organizational Support Theory
The belief that the organization values employees' contributions and cares about their well-being. High perceived organizational support creates a felt obligation to reciprocate with increased effort and loyalty, and reduces withdrawal behaviours.

Frequently asked questions
What does perceived organizational support predict?
Higher POS predicts greater organizational commitment, job satisfaction, and citizenship behaviors, and lower turnover intentions. It is one of the strongest predictors of discretionary effort.
Why are some items reversed?
Two items describe the organization not caring. If you agree with those, your support score goes down. This prevents people from agreeing with everything and getting a misleadingly high score.
