Why trust this instrument.
NOESIS adaptation inspired by Spector's (1985) Job Satisfaction Survey (JSS). Thirty-six independently developed items on a 6-point agreement scale across nine facets: pay, promotion, supervision, benefits, contingent rewards, operating procedures, coworkers, nature of work, and communication. Eighteen items are reverse-scored (all even-numbered). The original JSS reports alpha .60-.91 across facets and has been validated in 30+ languages. Scored as mean per facet (range 1-6).

The theory behind this test.
Job Satisfaction (Facet Model)
Job satisfaction as a multifaceted attitude toward nine aspects of work: pay, promotion, supervision, benefits, contingent rewards, operating procedures, coworkers, nature of work, and communication. Each facet is measured independently, producing a profile rather than a single score.

Frequently asked questions
Why are half the items negative?
Reverse-keyed items force you to read each statement carefully instead of defaulting to agreement. They improve measurement accuracy by catching acquiescence bias.
What is the difference between this and the MOAQ-JSS?
The MOAQ-JSS is three items measuring overall satisfaction. This assessment measures nine specific facets, each with four items, giving a much more detailed profile.
