A 10-item assessment measuring how stressful you perceive your life to be — how unpredictable, uncontrollable, and overloading. Based on Cohen et al. (1983).
Not how much is on your plate — how out of control it feels. Measure the stress that actually predicts health outcomes.
- Understand your perceived stress level — the degree to which you appraise your life situations as stressful, beyond objective events.

แบบทดสอบนี้วัดอะไร
P
Perceived Stress (Total)
How unpredictable, uncontrollable, and overloaded you have perceived your life to be over the past month. Scores of 0-13 indicate low, 14-26 moderate, and 27-40 high perceived stress.
P
Perceived Helplessness
How often problems piled up beyond what you felt able to handle, and things seemed to fall outside your control. Higher scores mean the month felt less manageable.
P
Perceived Self-Efficacy
How often you felt confident handling personal problems, on top of what had to be done, and able to steer the irritations of daily life. Higher scores mean more of that felt command.

ทำไมถึงไว้วางใจเครื่องมือวัดนี้
Based on the perceived stress construct of Cohen, Kamarck & Mermelstein (1983), this assessment uses 10 independently developed items (α = 0.85) to measure how unpredictable, uncontrollable, and overloaded you have found your life over the past month. Scores fall into three bands: 0-13 low, 14-26 moderate, 27-40 high. The items were written by NOESIS to represent the published construct; this is not the original PSS-10.

ทฤษฎีเบื้องหลังแบบทดสอบนี้
Perceived Stress Theory
Theory that stress is determined not by objective events but by the degree to which one appraises situations as unpredictable, uncontrollable, and overloading. Perceived stress reflects the gap between demands and coping resources, yielding two factors: perceived helplessness and perceived self-efficacy.

คำถามที่พบบ่อย
What does this assessment measure?
It measures perceived stress — how unpredictable, uncontrollable, and overloading you find your life over the past month. It has two factors: perceived helplessness and perceived self-efficacy.
How does this relate to the Perceived Stress Scale?
This assessment measures the same stress appraisal construct defined by Cohen et al. (1983). All items are independently developed by NOESIS.
Is this test scientifically validated?
It is built on the perceived stress construct of Cohen et al. (1983), the most widely used stress measure in health research. The items are a NOESIS adaptation (α = 0.85) — independently written and not independently validated — so treat results as structured self-reflection.
What do high and low scores mean?
Scores of 0-13 indicate low perceived stress, 14-26 moderate, and 27-40 high. What the scale captures is not workload but the feeling that life is unpredictable and out of control — which is why two people with identical schedules can score very differently, and why the controllability of your load is the best lever to work on.
