Vocational Identity Status

Also known as: VISA framework · Vocational identity development

Integration of Marcia's identity status theory with vocational development. It identifies six process dimensions — commitment making, identification with commitment, in-breadth exploration, in-depth exploration, self-doubt and flexibility — that together describe where a person stands in forming a vocational identity, from diffusion through moratorium and foreclosure to achievement.
