Processing Speed and Cognitive Flexibility
Also known as: Trail Making · Set-shifting · Visual scanning speed
The speed of visual scanning, sequencing and motor response (TMT Part A), and the ability to shift between cognitive sets — alternating between two rules or categories (TMT Part B). The B/A ratio isolates set-shifting cost from baseline speed.
