Scientific vs. playful tests
NOESIS offers two types of tests, clearly labeled in the catalog:
Scientific tests are based on validated psychometric instruments with published research. They use standardized items, established norms, and have documented reliability and validity. Examples include personality inventories based on the Big Five model, cognitive style assessments, and behavioral profiles. Results from these tests can be meaningfully compared to reference populations.
Playful tests are fun, recreational assessments designed for casual self-exploration. They may be inspired by psychological concepts but do not make scientific claims. They are not validated against normative samples and should not be used for clinical, educational, or employment decisions.
Every test page clearly indicates whether the test is scientific or playful, so you always know what you are working with.
