How valid are the results?

Scientific tests on NOESIS are based on psychometric instruments that have been validated through published research. This means the instruments have demonstrated acceptable levels of reliability (consistency of measurement) and validity (accuracy of what is being measured).

However, all self-report instruments have inherent limitations:

  • Social desirability bias: You may unconsciously answer in a way that presents a more favorable self-image.
  • Context effects: Your mood, environment, and recent experiences can influence your responses.
  • Self-awareness: Some traits are harder to self-assess accurately than others.

For the most accurate results:

  • Answer honestly, choosing the response that best describes how you actually are — not how you wish to be.
  • Complete the test in a calm setting without distractions.
  • Avoid overthinking individual questions; your first instinct is usually the most informative.

Playful tests do not undergo scientific validation and are intended for entertainment only.
