The Greek gods were never moral examples. They were a catalogue of ways a person can be, written by people who had noticed that the same qualities that make someone worth following also make them hard to live with. Twelve of them here. Zeus decides. Athena reads the board three moves ahead. Apollo holds the standard. Artemis leaves. Hermes knows everyone. Hephaestus builds it. Dionysus lets go. Demeter feeds you. Poseidon feels it in public. Hestia keeps the centre. Hera keeps the bond. Ares goes straight at it. Every situation gives you four of the twelve and no way to pick two. That is what makes the result mean something: choosing to leave is only informative when staying, deciding and confronting were all on the table. You decide. Where authority is vague you take it, and you would rather own a wrong call than watch a room drift.
Athena
You read the board. The work happens before the situation arrives, which is why you rarely look hurried.
Apollo
You hold the standard. There is a right way to do the thing, and you can usually say precisely what it is.
Artemis
You keep yourself. Distance is not coldness, it is the condition on which you are any use at all.
Hermes
You move between. You know who to call, you cross the lines other people treat as walls, and things unblock around you.
Hephaestus
You make it. Argument is cheap and the finished object is not, so you go to the bench and come back with the thing.
Dionysus
You let go. You are the reason it ran late, and the evening people describe years afterwards is usually one you were at.
Demeter
You provide. Care arrives from you as something concrete, usually before anyone has managed to ask.
Poseidon
You feel it in the open. Nobody has to guess where you stand, and the weather in the room is often yours.
Hestia
You keep the centre. You are the still part other people orient by, and you do it without being asked or thanked.
Hera
You keep the bond. A promise is the real object, and breaking one wounds you more than losing whatever it was about.
Ares
You go straight at it. Conflict is not something you manage around, it is a thing you walk into on purpose and early.

Why do people stop bringing you options?
A high Zeus score means decisions arrive quickly and confidently, which most groups need. What follows is that people pre-filter what they show you, so the option you would have rejected never arrives, including the times rejecting it would have been the mistake.
What does leaving actually protect?
The capacity to be any use when you are there. Distance is not the opposite of care for a high Artemis score, it is the condition on it, and the people who take it personally are usually the ones getting the best of you.
Why does keeping the centre go unnoticed?
Because it is measured in things that did not happen. Nobody thanks you for the argument that did not start or the evening that did not fall apart, which is why a high Hestia score so often sits next to feeling taken for granted.

Somebody who has read the myths
You will have opinions about the assignments, and some of them will be right. The figures here are cut to twelve recognisable behaviours rather than to the full biography, so Zeus is authority without the rest of the catalogue.
Somebody who has never read any of them
This costs you nothing. The names are labels on twelve ways of acting, all of which you have seen in people you know, and the descriptions do not assume you know the stories.
A group doing it together
The useful part is not who got which figure, it is who got the one nobody else did. A group with no Hestia and no Demeter explains a lot about why that group is tiring.

Why can I only pick one when two of them are true?
Because a test where you can agree with everything measures what you admire rather than what you do. Making the four compete is the only way the result says something: choosing to leave means something when staying, deciding and confronting were all right there.
Why are my numbers so small? Nothing is near a hundred.
They are proportions, not marks. Each archetype is offered eight times out of twenty-four situations, so the most any one of them can reach is about a third of your choices. A score in the twenties is a dominant archetype here, not a poor one.
Are some of the twelve better than others?
No, and the report is written to make that awkward rather than comfortable. Every one of them has a description of what it costs, because the quality that makes somebody worth following is usually the same one that makes them hard to live with.
Is this a real personality test?
No. It is playful. Twelve figures out of old poetry are a piece of literature, not a model of the mind, and nothing here was compared against any reference group.
I got a figure I know nothing about. Does that matter?
Not at all. You are not being matched to the mythology, you are being described by twelve behaviours that happen to carry old names. The description is ours and it stands on its own.
My top two seem to contradict each other. Is that a mistake?
It is usually the most accurate thing in the result. Athena with Ares, or Hestia with Poseidon, describes somebody real and slightly uncomfortable, and the full report is mostly about what that pair does in combination.
