Your Ideal Work Environment
~8 min · 15 問 · 無料の簡易レポート
Most people can tell you what they want from a job. Far fewer can tell you what they would give up to get it, and that second answer is the one that predicts whether a role will suit them. So there are no rating scales here. Every question asks you to put five conditions in order, which means each answer is a set of trade-offs rather than a wish list. Rank autonomy first often enough and you will see it in your result. Rank it first while also ranking security first is not available. The five conditions are autonomy, stability, pace, closeness and clarity. None is better than another, and the combinations behave very differently: somebody who wants autonomy and clarity together is asking for something quite specific and quite rare. The free result shows your order. The full report covers what your top two mean in practice, which of your conditions are hardest to get simultaneously, the questions worth asking in an interview to find out whether a place actually has them, and the condition you rank low that you may be underestimating.
Five conditions, ranked against each other so every answer costs something. What you would give up predicts fit better than what you would like.
- Rank five work conditions by what you would actually trade away
- See which of your priorities are difficult to obtain at the same time
- Get concrete questions to ask before accepting a role
- Notice the condition you rank low and may be underestimating

レポートが答える質問。
Why does autonomy disappear without anybody deciding to remove it?
Because it goes by accumulation: a new approval step, a template, a weekly report. Each is small and defensible and the total is not. If this ranks high for you, the thing to watch is not a decision but a drift.
Why is this the priority people apologise for?
Because ambition is supposed to look like appetite for risk. Ranking stability first is what lets somebody plan a life around a job, and treating that as a deficiency is a habit of people whose lives are already stable.
How do you tell speed from motion?
Ask what shipped, not what happened. Busy places with long approval chains feel fast from inside and produce very little, and people who rank pace highly are the most susceptible to that illusion because the sensation is what they were looking for.
Why do reorganisations cost you more than other people?
Because for you the team is not the container for the work, it is part of the work. A reshuffle that reads as neutral on a chart removes the thing you ranked first, and saying that out loud while it is being planned is more useful than absorbing it afterwards.
Why is clarity the cheapest of the five to fix?
Because it costs a conversation. Autonomy needs trust, stability needs money, pace needs a different structure, closeness needs time. Knowing what good looks like needs somebody to say it, which is why its absence is usually neglect rather than constraint.
最も効果的な方。
Somebody weighing two offers
The useful output is the trade-off, not the wish list. Both places will offer something; this tells you which loss you would actually feel.
Somebody unhappy in a job that looks good on paper
Usually one condition is missing and it is not the one being complained about. Ranking makes it visible faster than another Sunday evening of thinking about it.
A manager who keeps losing people
Running this across a team shows which conditions the place is quietly failing to provide. Often it is clarity, which is the cheapest of the five to fix.
Somebody about to join an early-stage company
Worth doing beforehand. Early-stage places are generous with autonomy and pace and structurally short on stability and clarity, and knowing your order tells you whether that trade is one you would make.
よくある質問
Why is there no rating scale?
Because on a rating scale everybody says all five matter a great deal, and a result where everything is important contains no information. Ranking forces you to give something up, and what you give up is what predicts fit.
Does this tell me what job to take?
No. It tells you what you would trade away, which is one input among several. Pay, location and what the work actually is are not in here at all.
Can my employer use this on me?
No. It is playful, easy to answer strategically, and nothing here should carry consequences for somebody's job. As something a team does together and discusses, it works well.
My answers depend on where I am in life.
They should. Stability rises when other things become uncertain, and falls again when they settle. This is a snapshot of what you would trade now, not a fixed trait.
Two of my priorities came out level.
Common, and the report treats the top two as a pair. Some pairs are much harder to satisfy at once than others, and it says which yours is.
Is any combination a bad sign?
No, but some are harder to buy. Wanting high autonomy and high clarity together is coherent and rare, because most places that give you freedom do it by leaving the expectations vague.
