The total is not the interesting part anyway. How you did on these 25 puzzles on one afternoon. It is not a property of you: speed, sleep and how recently you last saw a number series all move it, and a second pass at a slower pace usually moves it more than anything about you did.

Somebody who likes puzzles
The answer key is the part worth paying for. Every question has a worked explanation, including the ones you got right, which is where the interesting reasoning usually is.
Somebody who has done a free reasoning test and got a number with no working
Reasonable to distrust that. Most of them hand you a flattering number and no account of where it came from. This one gives you the count, the arithmetic behind each question, and no number it cannot back up.
Somebody preparing for an aptitude test at work
The question types here overlap with the ones graduate and aptitude tests use. This is practice with explanations, not preparation material, and it makes no claim about how you would perform on the real thing.
Somebody curious how they handle traps
Several questions here are known to produce a fast confident wrong answer. Missing those and getting the harder ones right is a recognisable pattern, and the report names it.

Is this an IQ test?
No. It does not produce an intelligence score and it is not built like a test that does. A proper cognitive assessment runs for a couple of hours, is given by someone trained to administer it, and compares you against a large sample matched to your age. This is 25 puzzles in a browser, and it is scored as 25 puzzles in a browser.
Why not convert the score to the hundred-point scale like other sites do?
Because there is nothing to convert against. That scale means something only when it comes from a sample of real respondents, and we do not have one. A converted number would look like a measurement while having been set by whoever wrote the questions, so we report the count instead.
Where does the score come from?
Each correct answer is one point and the result is the count out of 25. The four bands were cut from how the questions were designed rather than from results, which is why they are described in words instead of percentiles.
Can I put this on a CV or use it to qualify for anything?
No. It will not be accepted anywhere that asks for cognitive test results, and it should not be. It is entertainment with an honest scoreboard.
Is there a time limit?
One minute per question. Several of these are written so that the fast answer is the wrong one, so the limit is part of the design rather than a way of rushing you.
Are you planning a scientific version?
Yes, a properly built reasoning test is on the roadmap, and it will be labelled as scientific and priced differently. This one will stay where it is, in the playful part of the catalogue.
