Subjective Happiness

Happiness is best measured as a global, subjective assessment rather than as a sum of specific satisfactions. People who consider themselves happy perceive, interpret and recall events differently from those who consider themselves unhappy — the trait is dispositional, not merely reflective of circumstances.
